Becky Brown grew up in California  where her parents and siblings all played piano and at least one other instrument.  She began piano lessons when she was preschool age, and violin lessons when she was 10 years old, and continued with lessons throughout high school and college.  In 1999 she moved to South Dakota where she studied ministry, music, and education. During that time when she placed a violin in a three-year old’s hands and saw her eyes light up, she discovered her love for teaching music and began taking students.  She opened up a teaching studio in South Dakota, “Fall River Fiddle”, and taught private and group lessons to all ages.  She has also played in a variety of settings such as churches, weddings, funerals, graduations, and other venues.   In 2019, she and her husband moved to Wichita, Kansas, and she began teaching at Music Scene soon after.
