We believe that private lessons have profound benefits when it comes to someone improving on their instrument, and we believe it is the best way to improve at a quick rate. One on one with a professional instructor on a week to week basis with a little bit of a practice regime will guarantee a student to improve.
With all of this said we believe group lessons provide their own "different" benefits.
1) Use your ear
A student is forced to listen more, and hear other parts and other people, and other styles of music when they are in a group setting.
2) Work on rhythm
When performing with a group, individuals must count in order to stay with the rest of the group. They must all be on some sort of a metronome.
3) Develop relationships
When working in a group just like any other activity, friendships and musical relationships can be formed with multiple people who are interested in the same thing.
